As a general rule I'm not a fanatical Ron Howard as director fan. To me, his films usually come across too timid and by-the-book don't-ruffle-any-big-studio-exec-feathers, for my taste. But I am looking forward to this new film from Howard.
Based on the book IN THE HEART OF THE SEA: THE TRAGEDY OF THE WHALESHIP ESSEX (http://tinyurl.com/nqly7wb), by Nathaniel Philbrick, the film (and book) explore the non-fiction account of the whale-of-a-tale that directly inspired Herman Melville's classic MOBY DICK.
Whether or not this film will become a classic is currently speculation, but it's for certain it will be amazing to look at.
