This book is a fantastic companion for any Poe fan, and I love the faux-distressed cover texture. Essentially a detailed biography of Poe, this book was written by his currently living cousin HARRY LEE POE, who was previously the president of the Edgar Allan Poe Museum in Richmond, VA, and is now the Charles Colson Professor of Faith and Culture at Union University in Jackson, TN. What makes this book so special is not only Harry Lee Poe’s unique insight, but all of the additional materials: full color facsimiles of Poe-relative documents, such as letters, newspaper articles, obituaries, certificates, and much more. This large format book is not only informational, it’s removable memorabilia makes it extraordinary and plain fun.
