A MUST WATCH DOC then see BLACK MASS!
WHITEY: UNITED STATES OF AMERICA VS. JAMES J. BULGER (Documentary 2014: Currently streaming on Netflix.)!
I recently saw the new Johnny Depp film BLACK MASS and found it to be a very good, hard-hitting crime drama. This made me want to know more about the white-haired, balding grandpa that I remember being arrested in 2011 in Santa Monica, CA (only 15 miles from me) –– the 84 year-old man law enforcement reputed to be one of the most dangerous mobsters in American history and, for 12 years, had been on the FBIs 10 Most Wanted list (at one point having held the #2 spot only second to Osama bin Laden).
After watching the 2014 documentary WHITEY: UNITED STATES OF AMERICA VS. JAMES J. BULGER, I found the film BLACK MASS to be shockingly accurate for a Hollywood movie. Nonetheless, the 2hr-14min drama still didn't have the time necessary to explore in-detail the depth of the corruption-run-rampant throughout the Boston FBI (as well as the local and state police) that allowed the notorious "Whitey" Bulger to get away with countless murders, extortion, and a multitude of other crimes.
This is a must-watch documentary! Check it out! Currently streaming on Netflix.
