MEDUSA (1892), by FRANZ VON STUCK, was one of Adolf Hitler's favorite
paintings and Von Stuck one of his favorite painters from childhood. It
is said that when he first saw Stuck's MEDUSA (which bore an uncanny
resemblance to Klara Hitler) he exclaimed: "My God, that's my mother!"
You decide. But spooky to think of Hitler's mother being the
snake-headed Medusa. lol But quite befitting, nonetheless.
